My story
Hi! I'm Janina. A local Torrance-based artist that has been dabbling in just about every art medium possible.
I am a full-time licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Art Therapist working with special needs individuals. I spend most of my time with my boyfriend, our son, and our two pugs, Wynnie and Duke. When I am not outside enjoying nature, I am working on my craft, creating new art to share with others.
I am of Lithuanian decent (Labas visiems!) and was raised with the pride of being Lithuanian. I am so immensely proud of my heritage and have now used it as a means to create my voice as an artist.
Janina & Josefina was created as a small-business venture to share my art and creations with my friends and family. Josefina was my grandmother. She passed away when I was a kid, so I never really got the opportunity to get to know her. My mom always tells me that we have a similar sense of humor and that if she was still alive today, she would be my biggest fan and the first person in line to see what new items I have created. I wanted her to be a part of this adventure with me, and thus Janina & Josefina was created.
